2005
In 2002, Mr. Smith, a retired union electrician was diagnosed with mesothelioma. Mr. Smith’s filed his lawsuit in Ohio in 2003 against the manufacturers of asbestos products he was exposed to, boiler companies, and premises owners where he was exposed to asbestos. The case proceeded to trial in the summer of 2005 against the 2 remaining defendants. After a week of trial the case settled after Mr. Smith rested his case. 2006
Mr. Smith was a sheet metal worker at a large rubber company for 40 years. Mr. Smith was diagnosed with mesothelioma in December of 2003, at the age of 71. Mr. Smith sued his employer and the suppliers of raw asbestos, the manufacturers and suppliers of asbestos products he was exposed to. The case was eventually resolved as trial approached for 1,610,000.00 dollars.
